The Campbellsville Tigers enter 2016 as the No. 17 team in NAIA.

Three schools from Kentucky received recognition in the NAIA preseason poll of its college football coaches released on Monday.

Lindsey Wilson is ranked No. 12, Campbellsville is No. 17 and Georgetown College is No 18 in the first Top 25 poll of 2016.

Defending national champion Marian (Ind.) was ranked No. 1 and received all 14 first-place votes.

Lindsey Wilson is coming off an 8-3 season in 2015, which featured its second straight appearance in the NAIA playoffs.

Campbellsville comes into the season off back-to-back Mid-South Conference West Division titles.

Georgetown will be defending its East Division championship from 2015. The Tigers were the pick to win the East again in last week’s MSC preseason poll.

Lindsey Wilson opens its 2016 season at Cumberland (Tenn.) on Aug. 25.

Georgetown kicks off with a Thursday night home game on Sept. 1, also against Cumberland (Tenn.).

Campbellsville gets started on Aug. 27 with a home game versus the University of the Cumberlands.
