Yazell's 300 is city's third perfect game of week

Local bowlers posted three perfect games this past week, one at Collins Bowling Center-Southland and two at Eastland.

Jeremy Noe rolled his first 300 game on Sept. 24 in the Strike Force League at Southland. Noe used his score to highlight a 742 series.

Johnathon Smith rolled his 300 in the Friday Night Fun League at Eastland on Sept. 25. Smith sandwiched his score between games of 259 and 226 for a 785 series.

Youth bowler Jacob Yazell rolled the second 300 of his career in the Saturday Morning Youth League at Eastland on Sept. 26. Yazell posted games of 225, 300 and 223 for a 748 series.

Yazell rolled his first perfect game on Feb. 23, 2013, as part of an 803 at Eastland.

■ Entries for the Kentucky USBC Women's State Tournament close on Oct. 9. The fee is $25 per bowler per event, and the tournament will be held at Dixie Lanes in Grayson the weekends of Oct. 23-25 and Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

■ Entries for the Kentucky State USBC Bowling Association Tournament close on Oct. 31. The fee is $30 per bowler per event, and the tournament will be held at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green the weekends of Nov. 6-8, 14-15 and 21-22.
