Matt Hopps, who started for Kannapolis, pitched 21⁄3 scoreless innings, but had to leave the game because of injury. Matt Wickswat (2-3) picked up where Hopps left off and got the win by going 42⁄3 innings without allowing a run.

Legends starter Brandt Walker (1-2) took the loss after giving up five runs, four earned, in 42⁄3 innings.

Lexington picked up its lone run in the eighth on a single by Kody Hinze.
