The two major championships run by the United States Bowling Congress will be held simultaneously in the same city in 2013 for the first time ever. The USBC Open Championships (at the National Bowling Stadium) and the USBC Women's Championships (at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center) will be held in Reno Nev., that year.
The city will also host both events again in 2014. The women bowled for the first time in a convention center this year in El Paso, Texas. Prior to this year the women's tournament was always conducted at a local bowling center.
The 2012 USBC Open Tournament will be held in Baton Rouge, La., and the 2012 women's event in Syracuse, N.Y. The men then return to Reno for 2013 and '14 and the women will be in Reno for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
