The high-scoring trend of this young bowling season continued last week. David Bosomworth rolled a 299 game in the Aroundtown League on Sept. 2 at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland.
The score paced a 744 series and was the second award score in the league in its first two weeks.
Bosomworth is no stranger to award scores, having rolled several 300 games and 800 series.
He was the 1981 Bradley Open champion and rolled the first 300 game of the new millennium in Lexington on Jan. 5, 2000 at Southland.
So far in the first month of the new season, four award scores have been posted.
If this trend continues, the 2010-11 season could be a very high-scoring season for local bowlers.
