Layell replaces Pugh on LABA board

The Lexington Area Bowling Association board selected Charles Layell to serve as First Vice President for the new season at its September meeting. Layell replaces Ron Pugh, who died unexpectedly on Aug 7. Layell had been the associations' Second Vice President. The board also selected David McClements to serve as Second Vice President.

Pugh served on the LABA board from 1999 until his death. He rolled a high game of 290, and his best series was a 735. While he loved the sport, he cared more about people than high scores. Ron always had a good word for everyone and was willing to help any struggling bowler who was trying to improve his game.
