The Mixed Nuts won the 67th Lexington Women's Bowling Association Tournament that ended Feb. 25 at Collins Bowling Centers-Eastland. The squad from Lexington, made up of Teri Tucker, Danette Land, Stacey Stephens and Ellen Coomer, rolled a 2,672 actual (2,833 handicapped) to earn $550.
Tucker and Coomer led the way, each bowling a 719 actual, followed by Land (621) and Stephens (613).
Barbara Zena and Sharon Miles won the doubles crown by rolling a 1,388 handicapped total for $230. Zena rolled a 553 actual and Miles a 601, plus their 234-pin handicap, for the winning total.
Jean Almaria won the singles title with an 800 and earned $125. Almaria rolled games of 236-267-290 for a 793, plus her seven-pin handicap.

Melinda Craig won both the actual and handicapped all-events titles with a nine-game total of 2,141. Craig's score wasn't adjusted because her handicap is zero.
Big day for Brock
Janie Brock rolled her first 700 series on March 5. She had a 735 in the 600 Club League at Eastland. The best game in the series for Brock, who has been bowling in local leagues for more than 20 years, was a 247.
