Lexington boxer Samantha Kinchen has won her second national title this year.

Lexington boxer Samantha Kinchen has won her second national title this year.

The Henry Clay High School senior, ranked No. 1 in the country in her division, defeated California's Angelina Banks in a majority decision in the finals of the Women's National Golden Glove Championships in the youth (age 17-18) 152-pound weight class. It was Kinchen's only fight of the tournament. The championships took place July 9-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

In April, Kinchen won the USA Boxing National Welterweight Championship in Spokane, Wash. She defeated Taylor Carroll in the title match. In June she beat Carroll in a rematch in Lexington.
