First perfect game for Lexington league bowler

A pair of perfect games were bowled in Lexington leagues recently. One was a bowler's first, and the other was the latest in a long line of 300s.

Tim Marshall rolled the first 300 game of his career on Dec. 8 in the James R. Wafford Memorial League at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland. Marshall started with games of 180 and 208 for a 688 series.

Greater Lexington USBC Hall of Famer Frank Fitch rolled his latest 300 on Dec. 4 at Southland in the Around Town League.

The perfect game was the 18th Fitch has had right-handed. He also has rolled 26 perfect games left-handed.

Fitch also has rolled eight 800 series left-handed with a high of 847, and five right-handed with a high of 826.

■ The 36th Bradley Open Tournament will be held at Collins Bowling Centers-Eastland on Jan. 10-11.

It is a scratch singles event open to the first 264 entrants. The entry fee is $300. First prize is $10,000 and a paid entry to the 2016 USBC Masters Tournament.
