Parth Parekh started the new year with a bang by rolling Lexington-area bowlers’ first 300 game of 2016 on Jan. 4 at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland in the James R. Wafford Memorial League.
Parekh sandwiched his perfect game between a 190 and a 194 for a 684 series. The 300 was a first for the former youth bowler at Southland.
Kyle Gillespie rolled a 300 the next night in the Beltline League at Southland on his way to the new year’s first 800 series.
Gillespie rolled games of 247, 266 and 300 for an 813 series. It was Gillespie’s second 800 series of the season. He rolled an 805 in the Strike Force League at Southland on Sept. 17.
