After a tumultuous, injury-filled junior year, the senior said she's ready to get back on the floor full-time and likely will be moved to shooting guard. She likes the idea of becoming a scorer and has been working on her strength and shooting touch. Look for Ormerod to become a key, vocal leader.
The 6-3 senior forward/center is from Columbus, Ohio. Graduated with a degree in psychology, and is working on a master's degree in family studies. She was born July 8, 1986.
After four knee surgeries and countless hours of rehab, Roddy says she's now at "110 percent." Before her run of injuries, Roddy averaged 7.8 points and 6.7 rebounds in just 20 minutes of play as a sophomore in the 2005-06 season. Look for the inside banger to better those averages now that she's healthy again. She could be an important threat down low for UK and a big-time rebounder and defender.

Missing summer workouts to fulfill academic obligations hurt the junior-college star's progress, but Coach Matthew Mitchell believes she can be a key player for UK down the stretch. Her size and bulk enable her to play down low, but she also is an excellent three-point shooter.

Unanimous All-SEC freshman last season has been cleared to play following season-ending anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus tears in early February. Exceptionally quick floor leader was starting to show just how good she is as the SEC started last season before the injury. Look for her to start at point guard and quicken the pace offensively and defensively.

A stress reaction in her left tibia has slowed the progress of Watkins this summer, but she is rehabbing and running now and is expected to recover in time to give UK help in both the frontcourt and backcourt. Her athleticism and jumping ability make her an asset anywhere on the court.
