Strong, physical player who could be the difference maker for Cats this season.

The lowdown: Slowed by a knee scope and a minor wrist surgery this offseason, Goodin-Rogers will add some depth at wing as an active rebounder and strong defender. Averaged four points and 3.1 rebounds last season playing in all 34 games for Kentucky.

The lowdown: What she lacks in size at just 5-foot-6, she makes up for in speed and smarts. Will add spark and depth at the point guard spot as an aggressive defender with long arms and a nose for the ball (averaged seven steals and 8.8 rebounds a game in high school last year to go with her 29.6 points and 4.1 assists).
Vitals: The 6-foot-3 sophomore center is from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Her major is management. She was born Nov. 13, 1995.
The lowdown: A summer working on speed, agility and shooting touch should help the 11-game starter (who averaged just 2.9 points and 2.7 rebounds a game last season) evolve from role player to consistent contributor. But first, Rice will miss at least a month with a stress reaction in her right foot.

The lowdown: Speedy guard was having one of the best seasons of her career before being sidelined by a gruesome leg injury that occurred in January. Coaches say she's not 100 percent back but will be a serious threat on both ends of the floor by SEC play. Thompson's vocal leadership, not just her points and assists, will be key to getting UK to the next level.
