‘Nunsense’ has become a habit for theatrical best friends

Marty Isaacs Wayman and Patricia O’Neill were there for the first Lexington-area production of “Nunsense” 27 years ago, and they are back in the current show at the Woodford Theatre. Over numerous “Nunsense” productions, together and separately, they have learned the keys to the show are remembering the characters are nuns and respecting their faith, even if they’re giving it a little elbow to the ribs.

Lexington actress re-imagines the life of Harriet Tubman in one-woman show

To mark Black History Month, teacher and Lexington native Lacresha Berry tells the story of her students through Harriet Tubman’s life. “Tubman” is a one-woman show that re-imagines Tubman as a high school student growing up in Harlem in the 21st century. In the play, Tubman encounters some of today’s problems facing black youth, such as mistreatment of black girls in schools.
