Democrats nominate Flood to replace Stein
Democratic Executive Committee members in Fayette County nominated Kelly Flood to fill the 75th District House vacancy left by Democrat Kathy Stein, who is running for the 13th District Senate seat.
Flood was nominated during a public meeting.
She is vice president for advancement at the Starr King School for the Ministry, which is affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist church. The school is in Berkley, Calif. Flood received a bachelor's degree in American studies from Florida State University and a master's of divinity from Starr King.
She lives in Lexington with her husband and son.
