What would a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event be without a wearable keepsake? With Monday’s solar eclipse fast approaching we found a fun little collection of eclipse-inspired attire at local retailers.
Shop Local Kentucky at 212 Woodland Avenue offers two stellar graphic tees with glow-in-the-dark lettering for $25. The “Total Eclipse of My Heart” shirt features a Kentucky heart state design. “Welcome to the Dark Side of Kentucky,” proclaims another. You’ll find them at the shop or go to Thekyshop.com.
Kentucky For Kentucky, makers of the iconic Y’All gear, is selling a cool glow-in-the-dark tee for $25, featuring an image of the state of Kentucky outlined by rays of light. As of Wednesday the company was hoping to have the tees in the store at 720 Bryan Avenue some time before Monday or order online at Kyforky.com.
Local Kroger stores are known for offering seasonal accessories such as Derby hats in May, so it shouldn’t surprise you that the grocery store chain carries eclipse tees and hats at an affordable $9.99. We found a micro collection of pieces at the Euclid Road Kroger just inside the front door closest to the pharmacy. Our favorite is the cap with a “Where Were You?” lettering inside a solar eclipse-like ring of fire.
Never miss a local story.
