Minglewood coming to former a la lucie’s space on North Limestone
A new bar and restaurant from Trish Tungate, former chef/owner of The Dish, and John Tresaloni, owner of Cosmic Charlie’s, will be opening in the former a la lucie’s space at 159 North Limestone.
Minglewood will open for lunch and dinner, with a full bar, in early June, according to Tungate.
The two have been working on the menu and concept for a “new little watering hole” for downtown for some time but were waiting for the right spot. With the closing of Lucie Slone-Meyers’ iconic restaurant in November, the corner space became available.
The menu will feature shared plate items for dinner, including dishes that they have enjoyed on their travels to the Caribbean and out West.
“Some of the dishes will be favorite stuff we found along the way,” she said. They also plan to have live music on weekends.
Tungate and Tresaloni are renovating the early 1900s-era building, exposing the brick walls and refinishing the wood floor.
“It’s going to be really gorgeous when we’re done,” she said.
