The intersection of Man o' War Boulevard and Richmond Road is a construction hotbed. On one corner is the soon-to-be-completed CarMax location, the auto dealer's first in Lexington.

Across Man o' War is massive work outside Wal-Mart, a long-term occupant of the area. Construction crews have been working since last fall to shore up and replace a retaining wall at Mist Lake Plaza.

The wall was part of the original construction of the shopping center, dating to the mid-1990s, and has had structural issues, according to city officials.

A new wall is being built in front of the old one and is expected to be completed by late spring.
