Cos Bar coming to Lexington’s Summit at Fritz Farm
The Summit at Fritz Farm, a new shopping center under construction at Nicholasville Road and Man o’War, announced that Cos Bar, a luxury cosmetics store, will be coming to Lexington.
This will be the first store in Kentucky for Cos Bar, which sells top-tier cosmetic and skin care brands like Tom Ford, La Prairie, La Mer, Prada and Guerlain. The chain has stores in Aspen, Santa Fe, Highland Park and 11 other locations.
Bayer Properties said the $156 million mixed-use development will begin opening at the end of March 2017.
“Attracting unique retailers such as Cos Bar to The Summit at Fritz Farm furthers our vision to create an unparalleled experience in Lexington,” Jeffrey Bayer, president and CEO of Bayer Properties, said in a news release.
The Summit also will be home to the state’s first Shake Shack, as well as Honeywood, a new restaurant from James Beard semi-finalist Ouita Michel, plus a new Whole Foods store, Lexington’s first Pottery Barn, and dozens more stores, restaurants, offices and condominiums. According to Bayer, the development will also feature “a food-hall concept” and a 125-room “a fashion-inspired boutique hotel.”
“Lexington is an under-served market for better retail, and the affluent leisure traveler and residents seek a world-class experience when shopping,” said Lily Garfield, founder of Cos Bar, in the release. “The Summit at Fritz Farm will take shopping in Lexington to the next level, fitting perfectly with our brand model to cater to those looking for best-in-class products and services in the luxury cosmetics and skincare market.”
