Find out what Lexington neighborhoods, projects got some of a $4 million city surplus
The Urban County Council agreed to divvy up a $4 million surplus among the 15 council members. Every council member got $266,666 to spend on a variety of projects in their areas. Of the nearly $4 million, more than $3.5 million has been allocated. Another $500,000 is in the process of being spent.
The Herald-Leader obtained a breakdown of all Lexington Urban County Council projects paid for through $4 million in surplus funds from November 2015 to Feb. 3.
