Fire damages Morehead businesses
Three businesses were damaged in an early-morning fire Tuesday in Morehead.

The fire broke out just before 2 a.m. at the H20 Wireless & Tobacco store on West Main Street dowtown and spread to a tanning salon, according to a WKYT report. A heating and air systems store did not catch fire but suffered water damage.

Morehead Fire Chief Jeff Anderson told WKYT that the fire easily spread along the tar roofs of the buildings. Anderson said the buildings didn’t have fire protection systems, sprinkler systems or alarms.
