A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on South Upper Street between Bolivar and Scott streets just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. His name was not available.
A witness told police the motorcyclist was riding through the curve from Bolivar Street but couldn’t make the turn; the motorcycle left the road and struck a low wall, police Lt. Andrew Daugherty said.
The rider was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center were he died of his injuries, police Lt. Richard Willoby said.
A portion of South Upper Street was closed while the collision reconstruction unit investigated the crash, Daugherty said.
