Lexington man is shot to death at Lawrenceburg convention center

An 18-year-old Lexington man was killed Sunday morning in a shooting in the parking lot of a Lawrenceburg convention center.

Kentucky State Police officers were conducting a traffic stop near Eagle Lake Convention Center when they heard what sounded like multiple gunshots, state police said.

Officers found Damycal Tre Bolton unresponsive. Bolton died at the scene.

State police said the shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kentucky State Police at (502) 227-2221.
