Kentucky football signee recovering after being stabbed in Ohio

Kentucky football signee Jordan Bonner is recovering after being stabbed six times Saturday in Euclid, Ohio, according to FOX 8 News in Cleveland.

Aristotle Lewis was out on bond on a charge of felonious assault in relation to the stabbing, according to the station. Bonner, a defensive lineman who is to come to Kentucky in the fall, had been visiting his infant son when he was stabbed.

He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was then taken directly into surgery, Fox 8 reported. Bonner was released from the hospital Wednesday night.

In a video on FOX 8’s website, Bonner said he would be able to start running and working out again as soon as the staples from the wounds to his chest, abdomen and back are taken out. He said he will not be able to have physical contact at practice for six to 12 weeks after that.
