Trump being persecuted like Jesus

Thinkstock

Human nature has not changed an iota in the last 2,018 years. Three years prior to Anno Domini (A.D.), a good man upset the status quo. Among other things, Jesus turned over the tables of the moneychangers and told them they had made his house a “den of thieves.”

In 2015, another good man upset the status quo. President Donald Trump promised potential voters long-needed remedies for the dire needs of America and Americans. Elected politicians and their special-interest paymasters in the People’s House on Capitol Hill reacted to Trump like their status-quo counterparts reacted to Jesus years ago.

During the campaign, the persecution was constant, unjust and nefarious. Primary persecutors were former President Barack Obama and his loyalists, self-serving Republicans and Democrats in Congress, conspiratorial bureaucrats in the Department of Justice, false witnesses on news outlets, never-Trumpers and Hillary Clinton’s bleach-and-hammer-like machinations.

Their persecutions have not let up. Will status-quo zealots ultimately condemn another good man and sentence him to 2018’s version of crucifixion?
