Darius Miller named Finals MVP after leading German squad to back-to-back titles
Former Mason County and University of Kentucky star Darius Miller was named Finals MVP after his team, Brose Baskets, completed a 3-0 sweep of Ratiopharm Ulm in the Beko BBL championship series in Germany.
Miller, who had 19 points and six rebounds in Sunday’s 92-65 rout, has won back-to-back titles with the German squad. He has those two championships to go with Mason County’s Sweet Sixteen title in 2008 and Kentucky’s NCAA championship in 2012.
Miller, who signed this past week to play two more seasons for Brose Baskets, shot 5-for-7 from three-point range Sunday, and he finished the series 16-for-19 from long range (84.2 percent).
He averaged 18 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and one blocked shot in the finals.
