LeBron James in Lexington to watch LeBron Jr. play

The King came to the Kentucky Basketball Academy on Friday.

LeBron James is in Lexington to see his son, LeBron Jr., play for the Miami City Ballers in the AAU Fourth Grade Division I national championship tournament.

James' arrival through a side door sparked instant bedlam as kids, as well as many adults, scampered to catch a glimpse.

At 29, James is a 6-foot-8, 260-pounder with no place to hide. He is a four-time MVP. In his four seasons with Miami, he took the Heat to two championships and four straight finals. Last week, he agreed to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers, with whom he spent his first seven NBA seasons.

At KBA, a section of seats was blocked off in an effort to give James some privacy. He sat near the end of the front row, opposite team benches.

UK Coach John Calipari stopped in and chatted briefly with James.

As for the game, the Ballers edged Mississippi's DMG (Desoto Memphis Grizzlies) 51-46, getting 11 points from LeBron Jr.
