Briscoe hurts ankle in warm-ups, does not start Kentucky-Louisville game
The University of Kentucky men’s basketball game against Louisville in Rupp Arena on Saturday tipped off without freshman guard Isaiah Briscoe in the starting lineup.
Briscoe turned an ankle during pre-game warm-ups. The freshman has started nine of Kentucky’s previous 11 games and was the team’s third-leading scorer entering Saturday.
Briscoe averages 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Fellow freshman Charles Matthews started in place of Briscoe. Matthews has started two games previously and averages 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game.
