Kentucky’s Calipari proposes new-look SEC Tournament
University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari pitched the idea of holding the annual Southeastern Conference Tournament at the beginning of the season instead of the end during this week’s SEC meetings in Destin, Fla.
In a report by SECcountry.com, Calipari told reporters Wednesday he would like to see the tournament played in November and guarantee every team in the league three games — as opposed to the current single-elimination format.
