Little-used freshman guard Jaycee Coe has decided to leave Kentucky and transfer to another program, the school confirmed late Friday night

The 5-foot-11 freshman from Gainesboro, Tenn., played in 16 games for UK this season and averaged 5.7 minutes and 1.3 points a game.

Through a school spokesman, the two-time Class A Tennessee Miss Basketball thanked teammates, coaches and fans, and added: "At this time I feel like it's in my best interest to pursue basketball at another school and hopefully somewhere closer to my family.

"Basketball is my passion and I want to be able to contribute more on the court. I believe transferring to another program is the best decision for me."
