After an excruciatingly slow start, Joey Votto has not just been on fire the last two-plus months, the Cincinnati Reds’ first baseman has been a towering inferno.

▪ 1. Since the All-Star break, Votto has 44 hits in 94 at-bats for a batting average of .468.

▪ 2. Over the last 30 days, Votto leads Major League baseball in batting average (.473), on-base percentage (.569) and OPS, or on-base percentage plus slugging percentage (1.316). Votto’s slugging percentage (.747) is second to Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun (.797).

▪ 3. Over the Reds’ just completed nine-game road trip, in which Cincinnati went 4-5, Votto had 15 hits in 33 at-bats (.455).
