Best Bets this weekend: Lots of live music, Night Sky Tour, ‘Sing’

Lakeside Live

The waterfront concert venue at Lexington Green has a full lineup this weekend, with guitar virtuoso Ben Lacy and Friends on Friday night, funk and soul practitioners Boogie G on Saturday, and a patriotic concert from the Lexington Singers on Sunday. Night Sky Tour

Josephine Sculpture Park, 3355 Lawrenceburg Road in Frankfort, hosts a tour of the night sky, led by astronomy expert Dan Price, from 9 p.m. to midnight on Saturday. Price will set up telescopes on the park’s rooftop garden, and there will be handouts to help you identify what you see through them. Admission is a $10 suggested donation per group or couple. Liza Treyger

The Chicago-born, New York-based comedian, known for her work on Comedy Central and her 2015 album “Glittercheese,” comes to Comedy Off Broadway, 161 Lexington Green Circle, this weekend for performances at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday ($7) and 7:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Friday ($10) and Saturday ($12). Johnson Brothers

The Summer Nights in Suburbia series at the MoonDance Amphitheatre, 1152 Monarch Drive, continues at 7 p.m. Friday with The Johnson Brothers, a combo with more than two decades together and a deep well of tunes to pull from. Lexingtonky.gov/summer-nights-suburbia.

Carriage Festival

The seventh annual Carriage Association of America Carriage Festival is Friday through Sunday at the Kentucky Horse Park, 4089 Ironworks Pike. Antique and replica horse-drawn carriages will compete in a variety of events in the Alltech Arena and throughout the Horse Park. ‘Sing’

This week’s edition of Free Friday Flicks features the 2016 animated hit with Matthew McConaughey as the voice of a theater impresario who stages a singing competition in an attempt to save his failing theater.
