WUKY's Commons Crossing Concerts
One of the best ways to spend a summer evening? An outdoor concert, of course. At WUKY's new home at 2640 Spurr Road the Commons Crossing Series of free concerts kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday with Joslyn and The Sweet Compression performing live from the lawn behind WUKY's studio. The performance will be aired live on WUKY 91.3-FM and at wuky.org. Free concerts will be at 7 p.m. each Saturday through Sept. 8, rain or shine. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Friday Night Live
Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles launches its Friday Night Live series featuring food, music, and special distillery tours on Fridays through September. Distillery tours, $15, are available 4 to 7 p.m. with live music 6 to 9 p.m. Tours with a buffet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. are $46 per person. The July menu features a mixed-greens salad; pork bourbonnaise; slow-cooked collard, kale and mustard greens; Weisenberger Cheese Grits; and fresh pies of the week from Midway Bakery. Jurassic Quest Out of Extinction
The dinosaurs are coming! But these interactive versions are family friendly. More than 100 life-size dinosaurs including a T-rex, Spinosaurus, Triceratops, and Giginotosaurus, will roam the Lexington Center's Heritage Hall this weekend. Activities will include walking dinosaur rides, fossil digs, and a petting zoo for toddlers. Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $18 to $34. Lenox has appeared in his own Starz special, Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham," and A&E's "Evening at the Improv." This weekend he'll headline at Comedy Off Broadway with shows at 7:15 and 9:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $10 to $12. Comedyoffbroadway.com.
