Bluegrass Fair
Take a whirl on more than 100 rides and games , savor the nightly pig racing, and dine on classic fair food like turkey legs and funnel cakes. The Bluegrass Fair is back at Masterson Station Park, 3051 Leestown Road. Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday, 3 to 11 p.m. Sunday through July 22. Admission is $7, cash only. Free for ages 6 and younger. Margaret Cho

Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show
A summer tradition, the annual horse show is on the move this year to its new home at the Kentucky Horse Park Rolex Arena. Evening sessions begin at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $5 Thursday, $10 Friday and Saturday. Free for ages 5 and younger. Morning sessions are free. Lexjrleague.com.
Fountain Films on Friday: 'Liar, Liar'
The series of free outdoor screenings at Triangle Park gets rolling with the 1997 film starring Jim Carrey as a lawyer who is unable to lie after his son makes a birthday wish. Movies start at dusk on Fridays through Aug. 17. Downtownlex.com.
Pioneer Playhouse: 'Granted'
In the final installment of a trilogy based on Angela Correll's novels that started with "Grounded" and continued with "Guarded," Annie embraces her country roots and a future with Jake. Performances are 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday through July 21 at Pioneer Playhouse in Danville. 'Beauty & The Beast'
It is the middle weekend for Kentucky Conservatory Theatre's production of the Disney classic "tale as old as time" at Woodland Park, on the Kentucky Avenue side. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and showtime is 8:45 through Sunday and July 19 to 22. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 ages 10 and younger and are available at mykct.org/summerfest.
