Poll: When will you feel comfortable returning to the movie theater?

Indoor movie theaters in Kentucky are allowed to re-open for business on Monday, but will movie-goers leave their homes to see flicks on the big screen?

The COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t kept folks from watching movies. Netflix stock is among the highest performers during the health crisis (it saw its all-time peak of 454.19 on May 15), and video-on-demand releases for theatrical fare like “Scoob” and “Trolls World Tour” reportedly performed well (hard numbers aren’t available like they are for box offices, though).

Drive-in theaters in Kentucky have been allowed to operate, within guidelines, for about a month, and interest in that segment of the industry has been up. As indoor theaters begin to open, will people return?

We’re interested in your opinions about movie-going during the pandemic, as well as your experiences at the movies during this time (indoor or outdoor). We encourage you to vote in the poll below and send any comments and opinions to us via email (jmoore@herald-leader.com) or Twitter (@JoshMooreHL).
