'The Pitt' Season 2 Breakout Star Sepideh Moafi Speaks Out Following Noah Wyle Feud Rumors

The Pitt newcomer Sepideh Moafi has broken her silence on a rumor running rife throughout the fandom surrounding her relationship with star Noah Wyle.

The Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center's newest attending spoke with Variety in a new interview, where she shut down the fan theory that she and Wyle were feuding behind the scenes of the hit HBO series. Some viewers believed the imaginary tension contributed to Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi's negative personal arc, where she suffered multiple absence seizures throughout her first shift in the emergency room and left Wyle's Dr. Robby lacking in faith that she could handle her position as his interim replacement while he ventured off on his motorcycle adventure.

But Moafi didn't mince words as she addressed the speculation, telling the publication, "Absolutely not."

She and Wyle are "really great colleagues," she continued, crediting their "great working relationship" with making it easy to film the more difficult scenes in the final episode. "...it actually felt safe to do the darker, dirtier work in episode 15, particularly because, between setups, we were shooting the s--t and laughing," she explained, reiterating that the rumors of a "personal beef or rivalry" are "completely false"-at least from her end.

"You can check with Noah," she quipped.

But even if Wyle does have a difference of opinion, it hasn't affected Moafi's hirability, as the actress has also confirmed she'd be back in the emergency room for Season 3-though, of course, there aren't yet any details about her role on the next shift.

The rumors reportedly stem from TikTok, with fans debating their validity in the comments of a post from the publication on X, lamenting how "'fan made stuff' has like 500k views...and people treat it as a fact."

"People love creating drama where there is none," someone else chastised, while several others hoped the response would inspire those generating the rumors to learn to "make a distinction between the characters...and the actors" and "shut up."
