Beloved Folk Rock Legend, 84, Makes Long-Awaited Return After Making Peace With Hearing Loss
Paul Simon is giving his quiet comeback a permanent home.
The 84-year-old folk rock legend will release a new concert film, Paul Simon: The Quiet Celebration Concert, premiering June 26 on Disney+ and Hulu, Hulu announced on Thursday, June 4. A companion live album follows on Oct. 9.
The nearly two-hour film was recorded at McCaw Hall in Seattle during Simon's "A Quiet Celebration" tour, the intimate 2025 run he staged in small, acoustically rich venues. At its center is a milestone: the first-ever complete live performance of his Grammy-nominated Seven Psalms, paired with reworked versions of his classic hits and deep cuts.
A Comeback After Hearing Loss
The film picks up after Simon came to terms with the hearing loss that reshaped how he performs, then set out to find new ways to play the music live. The result, the announcement says, is lush and joyful, with a triumphant tone.
"This tour has enabled me to play with musicians again," Simon said. "I really missed it." He called it one of the most extraordinary tours he has done, maybe the most joyous.

When the Live Album Drops
The companion album arrives Oct. 9, with preorders opening June 26. It will be sold as a three-LP vinyl set, a two-CD set and across digital and streaming platforms.
The film is directed by Emmy winner Joel Gallen and presented by Sony Music Vision. For fans who have followed Simon from Simon & Garfunkel through his solo decades, it is a rare chance to watch one of music's great songwriters reframe his catalog on his own terms.
