Beloved BBC Star Provides Health Update After Revealing 'Aggressive' Cancer Diagnosis

Just days after shocking viewers with a somber update on the season finale of Clarkson's Farm, Jeremy Clarkson is offering fans some reassuring news.

The longtime BBC television personality took to Instagram on Saturday, June 20, with an important video message after delivering the shocking news of his aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis.

Clarkson began his video update by dryly saying, "Now the more observant among you will have noticed that I'm not dead."

The 66-year-old quickly reassured fans that his prognosis is positive. "And I'm not just not dead, I'm perfectly fine," he said. "My eyebrows in particular are looking very lustrous." Clarkson explained that the reason he's doing so well is because doctors were able to catch the cancer early. "And they caught it early because I got tested," he also noted.

The Top Gear alum then used the opportunity to encourage other men to get screened, dismissing outdated fears about prostate exams. "It's just a blood test these days," he explained before urging viewers not to ignore potential warning signs.

His message comes just days after viewers learned that Clarkson had been quietly battling the disease for more than a year. During the final episodes of Clarkson's Farm season five, Clarkson sat down with land agent Charlie Ireland and farm hand Kaleb Cooper and bluntly told them, "I've got cancer." He later explained that the disease had been discovered in May 2025.

According to the series, Clarkson underwent surgery in August 2025 as part of his treatment plan and kept the diagnosis private for more than a year.

Now, with treatment behind him and his health improving, Clarkson is focused on spreading awareness. "10, 12,000 people, men-to be honest-die every year in the UK. From prostate cancer," he said in his latest video. "Don't be one of them. Get tested."
