Welcome To Kowloon Brings Compact First-Person Horror To PS5 And Xbox Today

Horror fans have something new to be nervous about tonight. Welcome to Kowloon, a compact first-person psychological horror game from Axyos Games Entertainment, launches today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has been out on Steam since 2023.

The pitch is atmosphere over runtime. Rather than a sprawling campaign, this is a tight, focused descent into the oppressive world of Kowloon, the kind of dense, layered, closed-in setting that horror design has been mining for years because it does so much of the dread work on its own. Narrow corridors, stacked spaces, and the sense that the architecture itself is closing in are the genre's most reliable tools, and Welcome to Kowloon is built squarely around them.

A Bite-Sized Descent Rather Than A Marathon

The "compact" framing matters here. Short-form horror has carved out a real audience, where a two-to-three-hour game that nails tension beats a padded one that dilutes it, and single-sitting scares travel well through clips and streams. If Welcome to Kowloon lands its pacing, its size is a feature rather than a limitation.

Welcome to Kowloon is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
