'90s Rock Band Announces Tour Update Amid First New Song in 3 Years

The popular rock band Queens of the Stone Age, which has been around since 1996, shared an exciting tour update with fans on July 14. While the band's schedule is currently packed to the brim with shows all over in 2026, they shared a big announcement about a new upcoming leg of the tour.

Queens of the Stone Age shared that they will be embarking on a six-concert tour across Australia this December. The U.S. band will start with a stop in Adelaide on Dec. 8, followed by Hobart on Dec. 11, Melbourne on Dec. 13, Sydney on Dec. 15, Newcastle on Dec. 16, and Brisbane on Dec. 18. At the same time, the band added one show in New Zealand in Auckland on Dec. 20.

Queens of the Stone Age will be performing with special guests Primus and Tropical F**k Storm during the tour. For interested fans, the general sale for tickets is on Monday, July 20, at 11 p.m. local time. But some fans can get tickets early, with an artist and Mastercard presale on Thursday, July 16, and a Live Nation presale on Friday, July 17.

Australian fans were hyped about the big news, with responses on Instagram like, "Couldn't be more happy with this lineup!" and "Australia tour, let's Goooo!" A third wrote, "My two fav bands of all time????!!!!! Wha?!?!"

There were some fans who were disappointed that one major Australian city, Perth, was missing from the tour, among other places, while people in other countries said, "australia you are luckiest continent ever," and "Australia, you lucky SOBs!!!"

Along with the tour announcement, Queens of the Stone Age released their first new song since 2023 on July 14, called "Easy Street," as well as an official music video. While the band hasn't officially announced that a new album is coming, many fans assume that a full record will follow the single at some point.
