Rupp Arena will hold a job fair on June 25 to fill more than 300 part-time, seasonal positions.

The jobs will be in areas such as security, guest services, concessions and box office. Arena personnel say these positions are often filled by people who have other full-time occupations.

“This is a great opportunity for energetic individuals to supplement their current income because the event schedule is somewhat sporadic and many of the events take place in the evening, outside regular business hours,” Carl Hall, director of arena management said in a news release. “Many of our part-time seasonal workers are professionals who enjoy being part of the energy and excitement of live entertainment and also enjoy that extra paycheck.”

The upcoming season will be the Lexington arena’s 40th anniversary, and Hall is promising a full slate of concerts, family events and sports.

The arena is currently closed for a $15 million technology upgrade that will include new lighting and sound system and a brand new 27-by-34 foot scoreboard hung over the middle of the arena.

The fair will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the arena on the High Street side. Applicants must be 18 years old or older and be willing to submit to a background check. Applications are at Rupparena.com/jobs. Call 859-233-4567 for more information.
