Skillet headlines Air1 Christian rock tour coming to Rupp Arena

Christian rockers Skillet have paid Rupp Arena several visits as part of the annual Winter Jam tour that usually shows up as spring is springing, in March.

But this year, the band will blow up the home of Wildcats in early fall as part of the Air1 Positive Hits Tour that comes to Rupp Sept. 29. Joining the band with a taste for the pyrotechnics will be chart-topper Britt Nicole, “American Idol” alum Colton Dixon, former Royal Tailor frontman Tauren Wells, and DJ and hip-hop artist Gawvi.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 30. Prices were not announced at the time of the concert announcement.
