Since 2013 the Crave Music + Food Festival has provided a pop-up destination for Lexingtonians to focus their taste buds on the area’s best restaurants, food trucks, chefs, craft beers, cocktails and more. The festival, will hold its fifth annual gathering August 12 and 13 at the Bluegrass Fairgrounds at Masterson Station Park.

Along with food and drinks, Crave will be serving up 10 musical acts through the weekend, led by Cincinnati string band The Tillers on Aug. 13 and Kentucky-via-Asheville, North Carolina southern roots rock group Grits & Soul on Aug. 12. A batch of local talent rounds out the musical entertainment, including Johnny Conqueroo, Driftwood Gypsy, Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, March Madness Marching Band, Treyvon King, and The Recipe for Gamma Rays Aug. 12 and Justin Wells, Big Fresh and Big Maracas Aug. 13.

Aside from music and food — which will be available at $2, $3 and $5 price points — Crave will also serve up bounce houses, face painting, a car show and more. A portion of the proceeds from Crave go to GreenHouse 17 and other local charities, with Crave contributing more than $33,000 in 2015 and 2016.
