A little rain never stopped fans of Luke ... Bryan or Combs. More than 13,800 country music fans braved the remnants of Hurricane Harvey Friday evening for the first night of the 2017 Red, White & Boom Festival at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Most in the crowd donned some form of raincoat, from thin, clear ponchos to Regina Sawyers of Corbin, who borrowed her husband’s hunting clothes for the day. Fans said it was worth it to see stars such as the Lukes and Kane Brown and Brett Eldredge — who stayed out on the thrust, away from the cover of the stage — but they hope for better weather Saturday, when Sam Hunt headlines, and Sunday, when Blake Shelton tops the bill.
