Country music superstar returning to Rupp Arena in January: How to get tickets
The queen of country music is returning to Rupp Arena after more than a decade: Reba McEntire will bring her new Reba: Live in Concert tour to Lexington on Jan. 28.
Live Nation, which announced the tour on Monday, said the 2022 concert also will feature special guest Caitlyn Smith.
Tickets will go on sale Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. at reba.com and livenation.com. Citi cardmembers may purchase presale tickets beginning at 10 a.m. on Oct. 12 through 10 p.m. Oct. 14. through citientertainment.com.
McEntire last appeared in Rupp Arena in September 2010 with Lee Ann Womack and George Strait.
Know for hits such as “Fancy,” “Whoever’s in New England” and “Is There Life Out There,” McEntire just released a three-part box set, “Revived Remixed Revisited” on Friday and is celebrating with a livestreamed Amazon Music event on Oct. 12 to perform songs from the set with collaborator and producer Dave Cobb. Fans can tune in at 6 p.m. ET via Amazon Live.
The Country Music Hall of Fame superstar has won 16 ACM Awards, 15 American Music Awards, six CMA Awards, three Grammy Awards and she was a 2018 Kennedy Center Honors recipient. She’s had 35 No. 1 singles and has sold more than 56 million albums.
Besides her long music career, McEntire also has been nominated for a Golden Globe as an actress, with a six-season TV sitcom, “Reba,” as well as leading roles on Broadway including in “Annie Get Your Gun.”
