Farm to table dinner, bourbon tasting at Al’s Bar by Black Soil KY

Black Soil KY will present a farm to table dinner and bourbon tasting in partnership with X Norma, Luna Lexington and For Real Cheesecakes at Al’s Bar on Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. The event also includes a guided bourbon tasting with Sean and Tia Edwards, founders of Fresh Bourbon. Desserts and dancing at The Kentucky Castle

‘Steel Magnolias’ at The Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center

The AthensWest Theatre Company will present Robert Harling’s “Steel Magnolias” 11 times at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center between Feb. 18 and March 6. The play follows a group of Southern ladies as they celebrate love, life, and loss while gossiping their days away in a Louisiana beauty parlor. Walker Montgomery concert at Manchester Music Hall

National Paddling Film Festival at The Lyric Theatre

Beer tasting at West Sixth Brewing

Red Bull Paper Wings competition

Red Bull Paper Wings, the world’s largest paper plane competition, is taking flight at Central Bank Center Exhibit Hall B on Feb. 20 from noon to 3 p.m. Participants must make a plain sheet of A4 paper fly as far, as long or as artistically through the air as possible.
