A concert featuring Chris Stapleton, Dwight Yoakam and Tyler Childers will take place at Rupp Arena on Oct. 11 to benefit Eastern Kentucky flood victims.

Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., and can be purchased at KentuckyRising.com. A pre-sale for Citi card members will begin on Tuesday at 10 a.m. and last 24 hours.

The concert, titled “Kentucky Rising,” was created to benefit flood recovery efforts in Eastern Kentucky. All of the net proceeds from the show will be donated to the “Kentucky Rising Fund.” The fund “will strategically support both immediate needs and long-term recovery projects as they emerge,” according to the concert’s website.

The historic Eastern Kentucky flooding occurred occurred earlier this summer, leaving dozens of people dead and causing significant damage to residents’ property in several counties.

Stapleton and Childers previously helped flood victims directly in the aftermath of the catastrophic event. Stapleton also previously performed in Lexington during the “Concert for Kentucky” show at Kroger Field this spring.
