Want to see Taylor Swift? Here’s your chance, and you can help a good Kentucky cause
Two Kentucky groups are coming together to give Swifties a dream trip for a good cause.
Lexington’s Bluegrass Hospitality Group (BHG) and the Capital Ovarian Cancer Organization are selling raffle tickets for a Taylor Swift concert experience that includes a trip for two to see the Eras Tour in Miami.
Raffle tickets are $100 and can be purchased online at capitalovca.com/shop/ols/products/taylor-swift-the-eras-tour-raffle. You can buy multiple raffle tickets but you must be 18 years or older to purchase.
The charity raffle is open Sept. 1-30, and the winner will be drawn 3 p.m., Oct. 2 at Malone’s Prime Events & Receptions, 3373 Tates Creek Rd. in in the Lansdowne Shopping Center.
The winner will receive:
- Two tickets to see the Taylor Swift Eras Tour at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, concert date of choice (October 18 or 19)
- Round-trip airfare for two to Miami
- Two-night hotel stay
- $500 Visa gift card
Proceeds from the charity raffle will benefit the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center’s Ovarian Screening Program, which provides free annual sonographic screenings to women across the Commonwealth.
“Ovarian cancer awareness is important to me because my sister Megan was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and unfortunately passed away after a five-month battle,” BHG co-founder Brian McCarty said in a news release. “If you knew Megan, she had the biggest smile and an infectious laugh; and we miss her very much. It’s an honor for our restaurants to raise awareness and funds for the ovarian cancer screening program.”
UK says ovarian cancer is a treatable and curable disease when caught early. But it’s one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among women. The non-profit Capital Ovarian Cancer Organization offers support services for women and families fighting ovarian cancer.
