Pearl Jam returns to Rupp Arena in April
Pearl Jam’s 2016 tour itinerary includes Bonnaroo, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Rupp Arena.
The iconic 1990s Seattle band returns to Lexington April 26, just over 13 years after it made its Rupp debut in 2003, and two days after a visit from James Taylor, which was announced earlier today. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 29.
Late last year, Pearl Jam celebrated 25 years of performing live. Since 1990, the group’s lineup has remained consistent except in the drummer’s chair, which has been held by Matt Cameron since 1998. He’s joined by the quartet of frontman Eddie Vedder, guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament. Their most recent album was 2013’s Lightning Bolt.
In addition to the Bonnaroo and New Orleans Jazz dates, Pearl Jam will play Boston’s Fenway Park and Chicago’s Wrigley Field this summer. The complete Bonnaroo lineup announcement is set for 11 p.m. tonight (Jan. 19) on Conan on TBS.
