One act into Red, White & Boom 2016, Crystal Grimes already had a treasure. Hanging at the corner of the stage on the right field side of Whitaker Bank Ballpark, she clutched a set list from the festival’s opener: CMA Award nominee Maren Morris. It was a good start for what will be a long Labor Day weekend of country music. The expanded Red, White & Boom, moved from dates around the Fourth of July, will go three nights with headliner Eric Church Friday night, Jason Aldean set for Saturday and Florida Georgia Line Sunday. Grimes and other attendees said they will be there for the duration of the festival. Gates open at 4 and music starts at 5:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $64.50 and available at the gate, by calling 859-422-7867 or visiting Lexingtonlegends.com.
