Kentucky State Fair

Freddy Farm Bureau, award-winning country hams, concerts, livestock shows and other Kentucky treasures can be found at the fair. Gates open at 7 a.m. through Aug. 27 at 937 Phillips Lane in Louisville. Admission is $10. Parking is $10. Kystatefair.org.

High Bridge Homecoming Festival

Fountain Films on Friday: ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’

The series of free movie screenings wraps up the season with the 2004 comedy starring Will Ferrell as a 1970s TV anchorman. The show starts at about 8:45 p.m. Friday at Triangle Park, 400 West Main Street. Downtownlex.com.

Kickin’ It on the Creek Pre-show

Performers include Josh Nolan, Flat Trucker, Arlo McKinley and the Lonesome Sound, Bryan Minks and the Kentucky Sons starting at 7 p.m. Friday at The Burl, 375 Thompson Road. Tickets are $8 to $10. Summer Nights in Suburbia: Other Brothers
